A Humble Beginning
What turned into a life-long illustrious career began when Casey served as a part-time shampoo boy in his mother’s salon in Bukit Timah, an affluent residential district in Singapore with prominent Singaporeans, Caucasian expatriates and Malaysian royalties. Almost overnight, it became the most glamorous and sought-after salon with the moniker ‘Salon Hollywood’.
It was one day during this time that Casey had a ‘eureka’ moment when he realized how the mood and spirit of a customer, ordinary one minute, could be uplifted to feel like a million bucks the next minute. This was what ignited his interest.
